People We Love - Chef Angie K!

In a new segment called People We Love, we want to introduce you to the amazingly talented Chef Angie K and her restaurant, the Blue House Bistro.  We first met Chef Angie K a couple of months ago while volunteering at the 2011 March of Dimes Celebrity Chef Auction, a fundraiser to support the West Michigan March of Dimes.  While photographing the event, we ran across a rocking spread put on by Chef Angie K (check it out below)!  The food was, in a word, incredible, and there may have been a couple of trips back to her table to sample the food!  In case you have not had a chance to meet them yet, here is the skinny…

Blue House Bistro, founded in 2010, is a casual boutique bistro restaurant locally owned and operated by award winning Chef Angie K.  The restaurant’s innovative menu features the best Neo-American Creole Fusion style cuisine in West Michigan.  The restaurant is located in Downtown Holland, Michigan, and serves up a host of lunch and dinner options.  From their delicious small plates, hand crafted soups, fresh salads, to Chef Angie K's featured entrees, sandwiches, gourmet pizza, and delectable desserts, you will leave full and very satisfied.  As an added bonus, the restaurant also uses seasonal, farm fresh, locally sourced, and organic ingredients in every dish whenever possible.  Going local, supporting Michigan...gotta love it!

Movin' On Up!

Well, our big move is finally behind us, and so now it is time to scour through boxes to find that thing we just can't live without!  In the meantime, now that the dust is settled and we are getting into a groove here, it is time for some updates.  First off, you'll notice that I have redesign the blog to make it a little more "me" that it used to be.  Gonna work on some website stuff as well, as well as rolling out a new logo and some new products for 2012!  So excited about the upcoming changes, can't wait to share it all with you!

I am obviously behind a bit with posts, but I anticipate getting caught up soon.  I am excited to share some of my latest work with you!

In the biggest news of the year, I passed my Certification, so I am now a Certified Professional Photographer!  That is a huge accomplishment for me, as only about 3% of all photographers ever achieve that level.  I am Blessed to be a part of such an elite club, and I continue to strive to push myself further.  Up next is the Master of Photography degree, which will take a few years to obtain, but I am looking forward to the journey!  For more info on the Certification and what it means, check out this website:

Welcome!

Hey Gang!

Welcome to the new blog!  It has been an adventure to try to get this thing rolled out, but it is finally here.  Stay tuned for more items to come, as well as some exciting changes.  I am extremely excited to have this forum now so I can keep everyone up-to-date on the latest news, contests, giveaways, and everything else that we do at the Studio!

For everyone looking for their images, we are excited to announce that they are now hosted directly on our website, which is www.R2PhotoStudio.com.  So  now I have simplified the access to your images by hosting them directly on the R2 Photography web site.  Very cool stuff, it has been a long time coming, but now it is finally here!

Also, float around the new website when you're on  www.R2PhotoStudio.com and leave a comment here to let me know what you think!  I value your input and use it to keep upgrading options to provide exactly what you want.
